SPOKE is an invitation-only tool that helps tennis players find people to hit with, and helps coaches organise their own clients. We make introductions and provide scheduling tools — we don't organise, supervise, attend, vet, or take responsibility for the tennis you play or the coaching you arrange. Anything you arrange with another member or a coach happens between you, independently of SPOKE.
During this beta, SPOKE does not verify anyone's identity. No member's ID, age, background, qualifications, or character is checked by us. We do not run identity checks, police checks, or Working With Children Checks on any member or coach. Treat everyone you meet through SPOKE as someone you have not had checked by anyone — because you haven't. Identity verification may be introduced after beta; until then, assume none has taken place.
SPOKE is a scheduling and introduction tool. We do not vet, verify, endorse, approve, qualify, or recommend coaches. Anyone can describe themselves as a coach. The presence of a coach on SPOKE is not a statement by us that they are qualified, insured, checked, or safe.
If a coach will work with an adult, it is up to that adult to satisfy themselves about the coach. If a coach will work with a child, it is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to carry out their own checks before any lessons — including verifying the coach's Working With Children Check (NSW) or DBS check (UK) directly with the relevant authority. SPOKE does not do this for you and does not make introductions between coaches and children.
Meeting other members is at your own risk. SPOKE introduces people and helps arrange schedules, but is not present when you meet and does not supervise anything. You are responsible for your own safety and your own decisions about who to meet, where, and when. Meet in public, tell someone where you're going, and use your judgement.
We can and will remove anyone who behaves inappropriately, makes others feel unsafe, or breaks these terms. We may suspend or remove any member at any time, at our discretion. Removal is something we do after the fact — it is not a safety check done in advance, and it does not mean anyone remaining has been vetted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, North Shore Tennis is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from your use of SPOKE or from any interaction, lesson, or meetup with another member or coach — including anything arising from the fact that members and coaches are not identity-checked, vetted, or verified by us. You accept that you engage other members and coaches at your own risk and on your own judgement. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights or guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law (or other laws) that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may update these terms from time to time; continued use means you accept the current version. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
This explains what personal information SPOKE collects and how we use it.
We don't sell your personal information. We don't share it with other members beyond what's needed to make an introduction (such as your first name and general area).
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or close your account, at any time by emailing us.

If you're a coach, the clients you add to your Coaches Hut are yours. SPOKE is not a coaching business and does not compete with you.
Your client list is sealed to your account. It is never shown to other coaches, academies, clubs, coaching platforms or any coaching-related business, never shared, and never sold or rented to anyone. No one can use SPOKE to poach your clients. We do not use your client book for our own outreach.
We only store the client details you type in, and we only send invitations to your clients that you choose to send. You can edit or remove any client, or close your coach account, at any time. The Coaches Hut is free to use.
Where a client is a minor, their account is held by a parent or guardian; the child does not hold their own SPOKE account. Any health or safety note you record about a client is visible only to you.
